I am a big fan of color so this stone really caught my eye . It is called purple turquoise but is really more magenta or red-violet magnesite . I am sure it is color enhanced and stabilized . This bead is a sort of twisted ladder with big facets - the cut adds a lot of visual interest I think .It is a bit rustic . It is drilled lengthwise through the bead and measures 40mm x 30mm and is 11mm thick .
