This is such a lovely bead . I bought this pietersite a long time ago and couldn't seem to part with any of it ( I am a big fan of pietersite ) but have decided that today is the day . It has a bluish white background that almost looks like opal with little red and golden yellow veins - I do not see much flash , just a tiny bit of golden near the bottom . It has a bit of matrix that looks etched in - a wonderful combination of textures . It is drilled top to bottom through the bead and measures 36mm x 7mm .
