I think this stone is also called "blood jasper" ( yet another bit to confuse me ) but I kind of like the name "turtle jasper" better . This bead has shades of grey in the background with cream colored flowers with red centers and some have a bit of green on the edges . It is simply lovely - for some reason the pattern looks Victorian to me . It is top drilled from front to back and measures 46mm x 36mm and is 7mm thick .
