I am not really sure what this type of stone is called . It is another that has gone through many names . I think now it is being called lepidolite ( and it does seem to have some of the same characteristics ) but I am still going to call it spice jasper . The color is hard to describe - sort of a deep rose ( but with a tiny bit of an orange tint ) . It has light creamy yellowish green bits throughout the bead . It is drilled through the bead and measures 35mm and is 8mm thick .
