This bead is very pretty . The lower portion is opaque orange ( when it is laying flat - when you hold it to the light it is deep semi-translucent orange ) on one side and very dark , almost tortoise shell brown , on the other . The upper portion is translucent sort of honey color with slightly darker bands . It is cut in a way that adds visual interest and catches the light . It is drilled lengthwise through the bead and measures 40mm x 30mm and is 6mm thick .
